If this is your first appointment, we’ll go through a full health history, followed up by the initial Acupuncture treatment. During follow-ups, there’s a little less talking and more relaxing Acupuncture time. With your consent, manual therapies, such as tuina, shiatsu, tuina and and cupping are often incorporated into treatments.

You can wear anything you like, but wearing comfortable, loose-flitting clothing is a bonus so that points can be acsessed without needing to change.
Please wear shorts, or loose/stretchy pants to community acupuncture.

Yes! The needles used in Acupuncture treatments are absolutely minuscule compared to the ones you’re used to while having blood drawn, or getting a vaccine. I would give it a try, and if you’re still unsure about needles, there are lots of other treatment options including tuina massage, cupping, and acupressure.

Yes! Please note that we can currently direct bill for Medavie Blue Cross, Canada Life, and Chambers of Commerce. We are working on adding Sunlife and Green Shield. If you have an insurance policy with a company not listed here, please reach out.

There is no designated parking, but lots of street parking on Maynard, North Park, and Nora Bernard Streets. Give yourself a few extra minutes to find parking.
